LeXA Text & fonts

LeXA packages text and bitmap fonts for resource-driven applications. It keeps text addressable by identifier and font data in a predictable memory layout.

A little technical detail

UTF-8 text tables use identifiers and raw or BriefLZ-compressed blocks. Bitmap fonts support byte-oriented data and one-bit glyphs, with raw, LZSS or column-oriented compression. There are no perceptual quality profiles: text and font bytes are preserved.

Comparison & examples

The text fixture contains an empty entry, “alpha beta gamma” and 2,048 bytes of repeated ABCD. The font fixture contains 4,096 source bytes. These intentionally synthetic examples illustrate structure and size, not performance on typical prose or fonts.

Operation

Text imports accept UTF-8 or an array of {id, text} entries in JSON. Raw font data uses the supplied glyph dimensions; zero dimensions keep an unstructured byte resource. Text and font bytes are lossless. Processing stays in your browser. Input limit: 64 MiB.
